Concrete Missions for the Energy and Climate Transition
The missions of the Energy4Climate Center are structured around the production of scientific knowledge, education and training, support for innovation, and the sharing of expertise on climate and energy transition issues. The Center designs and supports concrete actions for laboratories, students, professionals, and society, in order to promote an integrated and operational approach to the energy transition.
- An innovative and interdisciplinary research program on the energy transition in the context of climate change, drawing on the diverse expertise of member laboratories.
- Support for a coherent education and training offer on climate and the energy transition for students and professionals within Institut Polytechnique de Paris.
- Development of a Living Lab dedicated to the energy transition, serving the member laboratories of the Energy4Climate Center for cutting-edge research, training in energy and environmental issues, and support for innovation.
- Provision of a range of IT services in partnership with IPSL, for research (access to relevant data for the energy transition through the DataHub) and for education (access to educational resources through the MediaLib).
- A communication and science outreach strategy to promote the scientific activities of the E4C Center.
- Engagement with society on energy transition issues through scientific projects in partnership with companies, expertise for public decision-makers, professional training, and science outreach activities.
