Back on 2026 General Assembly
The 5th General Assembly of the Energy4Climate Center
On February 9, 2026, the interdisciplinary Energy4Climate Center held the 5th edition of its General Assembly. On this occasion, the center’s researchers gathered to discuss the center’s progress and its future perspectives. It was a day rich in exchanges, bringing together more than 50 participants around energy and climate issues.
Mobilization Around Energy and Climate Challenges
Philippe Drobinski, the Center’s Director, presented the 2025 activity report.
A roundtable moderated by Daniel Suchet and Joan Delort Ylla explored the theme: “Climate change science in turmoil: acting in the face of shock,” featuring the cross-perspectives of Eric Guilyardi and Davide Faranda.
Focus on the Center’s Training Programs
E4C training programs were also highlighted, with contributions from:
- Émeric Fortin (Integration of École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées and Master’s programs at Institut Polytechnique de Paris)
- Vincent Viguié (Engineering Sustainability course)
- Luc Pastur (OFFWIND Master’s program – Floating Wind)
Doctoral Research Serving the Energy Transition
Several PhD candidates presented their work, illustrating the diversity of research conducted within the center:
- Rim Taji on temporal frictions when using smart heating systems that are slow to respond;
- André M. on the coordination of climate change mitigation in the French residential sector;
- César Perdigão Batista on energy efficiency in cloud applications based on microservices;
- Davide Stocco on biodiversity conservation through finance.
A day that confirms Energy4Climate’s key role in structuring research and training on the energy and climate transition.
