Coriolis Seminar - Power system and Flexibilities : managing complexity at different timescales with AI

This conference will present the new deal of power systems which are facing an historic period of transformation, focusing on the flexibility needs and the optimal way of making decision in this context. We will discuss the new rhythms of power system, largely driven by photovoltaic and wind turbines generation, and their impacts on (i) consumption-generation balance and (ii) network congestions. In addition, we will see how these new rhythms must be handled thanks to the mobilization of thousands of generation sites, and millions of consumer flexibilities. This is where AI comes as a tool to optimize the forecasting at different timescales and the coordination of individual actions.
